Margaret Peters Spelling Test
Kia ora everyone
Today, we sat the Margaret Peters Spelling Test. I scored 33 which gives me a spelling age of 9.2 years.
So, my spelling age is below my actual age because I am 9 years 6 months now.
I think I got this result because I don't really listen on the mat.

Our Hot Air Balloon Experiment.
Kia ora
Last week we did an experiment with Miss Fletcher. We mixed warm water, sugar and yeast. There was a reaction which produced a gas. The gas was carbon dioxide. It made our balloon blow up.

science fair
Kia Ora bloggers
Yesterday we had a science fair. We made a tornado in a jar.
The fun bit about it our science was when you shake the jar looks like a real tornado.
The hard part about it was when the people came around and you have to explain like how you did it.
Here a link to my science fair slide.
Here's a photo.

My Inquiry Planet Earth and Beyond
Kia ora,
over the past couple of weeks our class has been working on their very own inquiry. Each person has their very own inquiry question or a couple of inquiry questions. My inquiry question was why do we have night and day? The learning behind the task was to answer one of your inquiry questions about planet earth and beyond. We made a google slide to put our wonderings onto. Two facts that I learnt were that you can research about things that you don't know and that you can look in dictionarys for the meaning of words.
